On your next barbecue, add some excitement to the usual veggie skewers! 🍠🥕🍆🥦🥒Build your veggie skewers as you normally would, but add some medjools in between your vegetables pieces to add some sweet chewiness. Then, once their grilled, glaze them with this delicious vinaigrette:
Ingredients for the Skewers:
Zucchini
Green & Yellow Bell Pepper
Sonora Valley Medjool Dates
Jicama (also known as Yam Bean)
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
Ingredients for the Date Sauce:
1 cup of Sonora Valley Medjool Dates
3/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lime juice
1/4 cup orange juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions for the Skewers:
➡️Chop the ingredients together.
➡️Brush your ingredients with olive oil, and add Salt & Pepper to taste.
➡️Put all your ingredients together in a wood stick,in order to keep things in place.
➡️Grill together the ingredients, until they're roasted.
Directions for the Date Sauce:
➡️Pour all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and ready to pour over your delicious skewers!
